A more refined but still low tech approach as seen here involves long branches laid between parallel sets of thick wooden poles. Arrange and weave the thing pieces of wood in squares just like what you may have done to the wire. I ripped these pieces in half to obtain 2 2 s for the panel vertical pieces. To deepen the sense of smooth and more expensive just apply only wood as the materials.

Flexible twigs can used to create a gorgeous arbor. I pre drilled these pieces on the sides for screwing the finished panels to the 4 4 posts. Measure from one top corner diagonally down to the bottom corner. Make sure that the fencing is completely level and staple it all the way down to the end.
