C3 Corvette Door Glass Install

To gain access to your corvette s door components the glass must be in the up position.

Start by disconnecting the battery. This is the nylon bushing closest to the a pillar. The 7 16 screw to the right adjusts the upper door glass limit at the rear of the door. On the 1953 1959 installation.

The door glass studs are placed through the horizontal track followed by installation of the 7 16 20 hex nuts. Allow the rear lower corner of the glass to come completely out of the track and wiggle the roller clear of the door such that you now have the front roller still in the door in its track but the rear roller and bottom of the glass is completely clear of the door.

I snipped the 4 little prongs to get the old bushing removed and swapped over the o ring but for the life of me i cannot push hard enough to snap the new backing onto the new bushing.
